United Way
United Way - The United Way supports more than 200 health and human service organizations throughout our communities in Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Connecticut. These organizations provide vital services to help people right in our own communities each year. It's truly the Best Way to Give and the Best Way to Care!
National Breast Cancer Foundation
The National Breast Cancer Foundation mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of breast cancer through education and by providing mammograms for those in need.
American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society is at work in communities all across the country providing programs aimed at reducing the risk of cancer, detecting cancer as early as possible, ensuring proper treatment, and empowering people facing cancer to cope and maintain the highest possible quality of life.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. The Society's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma while diligently working to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Backpacks for Education
Offering children, without the means, the opportunity to receive the supplies that that need to improve their educational experience.
Toys for Tots
The objective of Toys for Tots is to help needy children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation's most valuable natural resources - our children; to unite members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
The Salvation Army
"The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination." We support this charity every year by sponsoring families at Christmas time and sharing with those that are less fortunate.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters is the most effective youth mentoring association in America, as research has proven. Founded in 1904, we're also the oldest and largest such organization. We serve over 225,000 young people ages 5 through 18, in 5,000 communities through a network of 470 agencies. We invite you to learn more about our organization and find out how you can make a difference in your own community today. In addition to our financial sponsorship, every board member actively participates as a mentor.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association
A voluntary health agency - a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans. MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. Nurses PRN is a sponsor for both the annual telethon and camps.
Berks Women In Crisis
Berks Women In Crisis provides free emergency shelter for single women and women with children in a communal living environment. The shelter can accommodate 26 women and children and provides a safe place for victims of domestic violence to live for up to 30 days. In addition to shelter, we provide supportive counseling, advocacy to women and their children in an effort to educate, empower, and enhance the quality of life as they seek safety. The shelter location is confidential and secure, with 24-hour staff coverage.
Special Olympics
Special Olympics is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society through sports training and competition. Special Olympics offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round training and competition in 30 Olympic-type summer and winter sports.
